When Violette was foaled she was everything I had hoped for.  She represents lovely imported lines which went together to create a beautiful black, flat moving, gorgeous filly.  Violette matured into a substantial mare standing in the 13.2hh range.  She is elegant and so very fancy.  In addition, she has proven to be an incredible producer with her first three foals.  Evans Trysor by *Hilin Trysor and two by Clanfair Mirabeau, Evans Black Diamonds and Evans Diamonds And Gold. 

Violette was covered this season by Mirabeau for a 2016 full sibling before Mirabeau left for his new home in Canada.  We look for Mirabeau to have an extremely successful show career for his new owner at Storybook Farm.  Violette's sire, *Wedderlie Maradonna was a Royal Winner before we imported him.  He was also WPCSA Sport Pony Champion.  Maradonna was only with us for two breeding seasons before we lost him.  A full brother to *Wedderlie Mardi Gras, Maradonna left his mark on our hearts and in our Welsh program.  Violette is one of seven of his daughters we retained.  They all proved to be amazing producers and beautiful mares.
